Why PRIMER
The team you need, matched to the project you have.
Most clients do not need a bigger vendor list. They need the right specialists, in the right order, with one party answerable when the pieces meet.
How team matching works
PRIMER draws on a curated network of architects, designers, engineers, manufacturers, and licensed contractors. For each project, the team is assembled around the project's type, location, scale, and requirements — not pulled from a fixed roster regardless of fit.
- Understand the project first. Program, site, constraints, decision-makers, and budget frame.
- Match specialists to it. Experience with this building type and this location matters more than a general portfolio.
- Sequence them properly. Feasibility before design, design before procurement, procurement before build.
- Keep one point of accountability. PRIMER coordinates the team it assembled and answers for the result.
One point of accountability
When a client hires each trade separately, every handoff is a place where responsibility can blur: the designer blames the contractor, the contractor blames the supplier, and the client is left coordinating. With PRIMER as the coordinating partner, there is one party to call, one sequence to follow, and one quote that itemizes what is included.
That does not remove the client's control. Decision points, approvals, and budget sign-offs stay with the client — PRIMER's job is to make sure each decision arrives with the information needed to make it.
PRIMER vs. a traditional design-build route
| Question | Traditional route | With PRIMER |
|---|---|---|
| Who assembles the team? | Usually the client, vendor by vendor. | PRIMER matches specialists to the project. |
| Who coordinates handoffs? | No single party by default. | PRIMER, as the accountable partner. |
| When is the budget framed? | Often after design is well advanced. | During Plan, before design locks in cost. |
| Can you engage part of the service? | Varies by vendor. | Yes — a single stage, service, or supply category. |
| What about supply? | A separate sourcing exercise. | Coordinated through Primer Supply, quoted per piece. |
